SICK TO MY STOMACH

I-POD NANO

So I bought my son this exact I-Pod Nano in black for Christmas. My decision to buy this for him was very hard and contemplative, because you see......my son is 14 yrs old and spending a $150 dollars on a single gadget isn't my style. I had him explain to me in full detail as to why he should get such an expensive item?? He assured me that he would be responsible and take very GOOD care of this little expensive gadget, and so after much debate with my husband we came to the conclusion that he could probably be a responsible teenager and take care of this.......did I mention EXPENSIVE GADGET........??? Well yesterday evening, Tristin asked me to wash a certain pair of jeans for him. Of course I said "yes, bring them to me now and I will put them in the washer." BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He forgot to take the I-Pod Nano out of his pants pocket. For some strange reason, after the washer had completely filled with water and was going through it's cycle, I asked Tristin, "where is your I-pod?" He states, "Oh my GOD, I think it's in the pants pocket of the jeans I just gave you to wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sure enough, headphones floating on top of suds, and I-Pod laying in bottom of washer there was the I-POD NANO!! I was so upset that I thought I was going to puke right there in the washing machine. Tristin went to his room, in tears and began the process of mourning........You see I bought an extended warranty for the I-Pod, however; it doesn't cover submersion in water. So that said, I'm still sick to my stomach. I googled submersion of I-Pod Nano and to my surprise it seems to be a common problem. They suggest that if this happens to you, to get the I-Pod in a bag of dry rice immediately, thus helping it to dry out faster, so we did that and are hoping and praying that this method will work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, that when we plug that sucker into the computer it turns back ON!!!!!!!!!!
